Only 11 kms east of Scone, on the road to Lake Glenbawn, Segenhoe View B&B is close to all major tourist attractions.

Horse studs

Darley, Arrowfield, The Vinery, Allanbridge, Kiora, Segenhoe Stud, Alabama, Brooklyn Lodge... are just some of the world famous horse studs that are just literally a few minutes drive away. Whether it's an enlightening stud tour, the excitement of racing carnivals, to attend a foaling, a visit to the equine centre, or just wanting to learn to ride a horse .... if you're interested in horses then Scone, as the "Horse Capital of Australia", has it all!

One of the highlights of the Scone calendar is the Scone Horse Festival. Celebrated every year in May the festival draws crowds of many thousands with its carnival atmosphere.

Lake Glenbawn

The beautiful State Recreational Area of Lake Glenbawn - just 3kms away - is a major attraction throughout the year. It is said to be the "best inland fishing area in the State". Famous for "The Big Bass" annual fishing competitions, every angler should view this spectacle at least once! It is also popular for water skiing, sailing, rowing, jet skiing, white water rafting and mini golfing.

Wineries

The Hunter Valley is world famous for its Wineries and the Upper Hunter is home to Arrowfield, Rosemount, Tyrrells Glenbawn, James Estate Winery, Birnham Wood, Winbourne,...just to name a few. There are cellar door wineries in the area, open by appointment and during special events.

Other drawcards to the area which are worth a visit include Burning Mountain, The Washpools and Barrington Tops National Park.
